Pre-College Courses and Workshops
Not every high school student is ready to jump into a college-level class.
That's why College Now offers pre-college courses and workshops. These are meant to function like a bridge to college. We've designed these courses to get you reading, writing, and thinking like a successful college student.
Some reasons to take a pre-college course or workshop
- When I enter college I want to place out of remedial writing or math classes (which cost money even though they don't result in credit).
- I want to take a College Now course for college credit next semester (or next year) but I don't meet the enrollment requirements right now.
- I need some extra support so that I can pass my Regents and graduate from high school.
- After I graduate high school I want to go to a CUNY senior (4-year) college.
Fellow Students, Location, Time, Staff
All students in a course or workshop will be high school students like you. The class itself will take place either at your high school or on the campus of the college offering the course.
Our courses are generally held before or after school, and are taught by college faculty or by qualified high school teachers selected by the colleges.
Available Courses
Speak with your school's College Now liaison or staff at your school's partner college to find out which courses and workshops are available.
