Black Literature through the Arts
Literature is not only the written word, it is an integral part of a culture, and it can take many forms. This course focuses on oral and literary explorations of Black poetics, freestyle battles, poetry slams, and creative, as well as, expository writing. It is an opportunity to expand your writing abilities and become skilled at the spoken word during afternoon performance workshops.
