Summer Programs 2009
College Now @ Queens College
Summer Science Program
"I hope to do this again next year."
That is a direct quote from a participant in last year's College Now Summer Science program at Queens College. So what got that student—and dozens of others—so excited?
For some, it was the mind-bending puzzles session that woke students up each morning of the program's 10 days. For others, it was the drama of dissecting Copenhagen, an award-winning play in which physics intersects with history and morality.
What will it be for you? Maybe the guest lecturers who speak on a variety of current, scientific issues or the opportunity to get the feel for life on a college campus.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a New York City public high school student, entering 11th or 12th grade in September 2009
- Submit a copy of your high school transcript
Students coming from Queens College partner schools will be given priority, but eligible students from other public schools may attend if space permits.
In the event of more nominations than spaces in the program, participants will be chosen by lottery.
