Summer Programs 2009
College Now @ Baruch College
The Liberal Arts Institute
Step into the shoes of a college student and experience college life firsthand! Qualified students are invited to enroll in Black Studies, Business, English Writing, Journalism, Personal Finance, or Psychology. The Liberal Arts Institute is a comprehensive program of courses and correlating workshops that focuses on the completion of a culminating project. The Institute gives students a firsthand glimpse of what is needed to succeed in a college course.
Each course will award either three or four college credits. Attendance at the afternoon workshop will be mandatory, in order to receive credit for the morning course.
All accepted students will be required to attend a mandatory orientation and maintain satisfactory attendance and academic performance.

The Summer Journalism Program at Baruch College has been replaced by a new course offered through the Summer 2009 Liberal Arts Institute, entitled JOU 2500: Perspectives on the News. Please see the Summer Liberal Arts Application for more information.
