Summer Aviation Program
Let your interest in aviation really take off at York's College Now Summer Aviation Program.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of flight in the classroom and in a simulator. The course also focuses on the business of flight and the variety of career opportunities available. Meet professionals in the field and visit their workplaces at air traffic control facilities, commercial airlines, and other locations around the city’s airports.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a New York City public high school student, entering 12th grade in September 2009
- Have AT LEAST ONE of the following:
- a minimum score of 75 on the English Language Arts (ELA) Regents exam OR
- a minimum score of 480 on the SAT verbal/critical reading section or
- Express interest in the field of aviation
Students coming from York College partner schools will be given priority, but eligible students from other public schools may attend if space permits.
