College Now @ Lehman College

Summer Arts Academy

Whether you are interested in theater, film, journalism or the digital arts, the Summer Arts Academy will help you get creative while you get college credit. The courses offered provide an interactive exploration of the humanities and a chance to collaborate with other students who share your passion for the arts.

Your work will be showcased at the Summer Arts Festival, a multimedia production by the students, faculty, and staff held at the end of the Summer Arts Academy in Lehman's Lovinger Theater.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a New York City public high school student, entering 11th or 12th grade in September 2009
  • Have a minimum overall high school GPA of 80
  • Have AT LEAST ONE of the followin:
    • a minimum score of 75 on the English Regents Exam (ELA) OR
    • a minimum score of 480 on the SAT verbal/critical reading section
  • Have passed all math, science, and history Regents exams required for graduation
  • Not required to attend summer school

Students coming from Lehman College partner schools will be given priority, but eligible students from other public schools may attend if space permits.
