College Now @ City College of New York
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Institute
STEM is a little bit of everything rolled into one convenient summer program.
You register for a math course, then select a science or writing course. Each course will prepare you for college AND earn you either high school or college credit.
If you are considering studying math or science in college, STEM is a great opportunity to get your feet wet.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a New York City public high school student, entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in September 2009
- Have a minimum overall grade point average of 75
- Have a minimum score of 75 on the ELA Regents OR a minimum PSAT score of 48 or minimum SAT score of 480
- Submit a copy of your transcript
- Submit a recommendation from a teacher
Students coming from City College partner schools will be given priority, but eligible students from other public schools may attend if space permits.
