On Sunday, March 4, 650 NYC students arrived onto the campus of City College to participate in the 2012 New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF), the city’s largest research competition for high school students. The 2012 competition marked the 5th year that CUNY and the NYCDOE have come together to provide students with this opportunity to display their research and hard work. Approximately 300 science and math professionals volunteered to judge at this event.
The top 150 projects (187 students) have been selected to participate in the Finals Round on March 27th at the American Museum of Natural History. Winners from this round of competition will win an all-expense paid trip to the International Science and Engineering Fair which will be held in Pittsburgh, PA this May.
