On Sunday, March 3, 2013, 550 NYC students arrived onto the campus of City College to participate in the 2013 New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF), the city’s largest research competition for high school students. The 2013 competition marked the 6th year that CUNY and the NYCDOE have come together to provide students with this opportunity to display their research and hard work. Approximately 400 science and math professionals volunteered to judge at this event.
The top 153 projects (200 students) were selected to participate in the Finals Round on March 21st at the American Museum of Natural History. This year’s awards included an all-expense paid trip to the International Science and Engineering Fair which will be held in Phoenix, AZ this May as well as a 5-year, $5000/year scholarship to The City College of New York (CUNY).
