Dual Enrollment Strategies, Outcomes, and Lessons

CUNY’s College Now program was highlighted along with CUNY’s At Home in College as exemplars of various dual enrollment strategies aimed at reaching high-needs populations in the latest volume of New Directions for Higher Education.

The volume, edited by Eric Hofmann, CUNY’s University Director for Collaborative Programs, and Daniel Voloch, former Director of At Home in College, focuses on the goals, practices, policies, and outcomes of programs that enroll high school students in college courses for college credit.  Chapters in the volume also examine institutional practices, student support and achievement models, quantitative and qualitative studies that investigate the impact of dual enrollment programs on student and faculty participants, and explores the role of higher education in improving K-12 education.
