The students of the Queens College College Now Summer Science Program were joined by a special guest on their field trip to Jamaica Bay: President Félix V. Matos Rodríguez of Queens College! The group traveled to the national recreation area and wildlife refuge to observe and experience how scientists at the college conduct research upon the local New York City ecosystem.
In the Summer Science Program, rising juniors and seniors become exposed to a range of scientific topics through lab visits, guest speakers, and field trips. These include Neuroscience Research, Pond and Tideline Ecology, Physics, Biology, and Computer Science.
