To realize its primary mission, Bronx Community College (BCC) provides a strong academic foundation for students of diverse backgrounds, preparations, and aspirations. With more than 8,000 students from over 100 countries, the student body at BCC reflects the diversity of New York City. In fact, Bronx Community College was cited by the U. S. Department of Education for awarding the highest number of Associate's degrees to minorities.
Nearly half of all BCC students hold full-time or part-time jobs, and 50% have children. To help you succeed, we provide a multitude of support services: child care, a language immersion program, counseling, tutors and tutoring labs, extensive referral services, and financial aid for those who qualify.
BCC offers a wide variety of degrees and certificate programs emphasizing allied health careers, technological training, and the sciences. Among our programs are: environmental technology, nuclear medicine, nursing, ornamental horticulture, mammography technician training.
