John Jay College of Criminal Justice is a senior liberal arts college of the City University of New York dedicated to education and research in the fields of criminal justice, fire science and public service. Internationally recognized as a leader in criminal justice education and research, John Jay is also a major training facility for local, state, and federal law enforcement personnel.

John Jay College awards the Associate in Science degree, which can serve as a useful halfway mark toward the baccalaureate degree. Credits for all courses taken in fulfillment of the associate degree are applicable toward the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science at John Jay College, although the associate degree is not a prerequisite for the baccalaureate degree.
