Lehman College

Lehman College, established in 1968 as an independent CUNY college, was named for Herbert H. Lehman, the great New York Governor, U.S. Senator, philanthropist, and humanitarian. Lehman College, the only four-year college of the City University of New York located in the Bronx, is a liberal arts college that prides itself on a distinguished faculty and a dynamic student body of diverse backgrounds and ages.

More than 90 nationalities are represented among Lehman's students. Our students benefit from: a world-class faculty, an impressive range of programs, and stellar facilities, including our state-of-the-art research laboratories and information technology center, a sports and recreation complex ranked among the finest in the metropolitan area, and a major concert hall.
