Bridges to Computing
Does it Compute?
Students explore interest in computer science in college setting, focused on career opportunities and college transition. Web design is the focus of the morning class while the afternoons offer 'tasters' and exposure to viable career paths in the field. Taster topics include hardware manipulation, robotics, cryptography, graphics and games programming, global information systems and social simulations. Students spend the last week on small group and individual projects generated from the taster sessions.

One high school elective credit upon successful completion.
Metrocards and lunch vouchers provided.
- Be a New York City public high school student, entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in September 2014
- Submit an application, an essay, teacher or counselor recommendation, parental permission and a transcript.
