Summer Art Program

Color is all around us, but have you ever thought about why we perceive it as we do or how it affects our everyday life? Find out in a college-level Visual Design course on color. Then, apply your new skills to creating art pieces in the afternoon sculpture course based on the program's yearly theme.
July 7 – August 14, 2014
Monday through Thursday
9:00 AM to 2:45 PM
Up to 6 college credits upon successful completion.

Metrocards and lunch vouchers provided.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a New York City public high school student, entering 11th or 12th grade in September 2014.
  • Have a minimum score of 75 on the English Regents (ELA) exam OR 480 on the SAT verbal/critical reading section.
  • Demonstrate talent in drawing or painting.
    • Students coming from York College's partner schools will be given priority, but eligible students from other public schools may attend if space permits.
