Summer Science Academy

Considering a science degree? Get a head start at the Summer Science Academy. Choose BIO 166: Principles of Biology- Cells and Genes (6 hours, 4 credits), GEP 205: Principles of Geographic Information Science (3 credits), OR CHE 166/167: General Chemistry 1 and Laboratory (5 credits). Mornings will be spent in a lecture, and afternoons working in Lehman's state-of-the-art science labs. These six week intensives lab science courses will prepare you for rigor of college science courses, and help you get on track to complete your degree.
July 10 – August 9, 2017
Monday through Thursday
9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Three (3) to five (5) college credits (depending on course) upon successful completion.

Metrocards and lunch vouchers provided.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a New York City public high school student, entering 12th grade in September 2017.
  • Students must submit SAT scores and HS Transcript with ELA Regents of 75+; Living Environment Regents of 80+; Chemistry Regents of 75+; one Math Regents score of 70+ on Algebra 1 or Geometry AND overall HS average of 80+.
  • Successfully completed all math, science and history Regents exams required for HS graduation.
