College Now @ LaGuardia Community College
Do you want to know what environmental engineers do? The LaGuardia Community College summer STEM program pairs a 3-credit college Math course: MAT115 (College Algebra and Trigonometry) with hands-on engineering projects that will integrate the math, give you real-world exposure to current environmental, astronomy and physics topics, develop skills such as hypothesis building and testing, doing research, basic programming and data manipulation. The program will strengthen your ability to succeed in interdisciplinary teamwork and communicate effectively both individually and in groups. The culminating event will be a showcase where you will present your research to a panel of faculty and student judges.
Students may be invited to attend or participate in poster presentations at Engineering conferences.
