Summer Theater Production Workshop

Open Call: Looking for aspiring and would-be actors, costumers, makeup artists, set designers, and other theatre hopefuls to hone their craft and mount a fully-staged production (for college credit) at Queensborough Community College's Summer Theatre Production Workshop. TH124 is a 3-credit college course on script analysis, acting and stagecraft and afternoon workshops on playwriting (new this summer) and stage management. Students will read snippets from Shakespeare plays, study their structure and apply it in their assignments -short plays and monologues from their life experiences and points of view, which they will perform in an evening of theatre. This summer a workshop with a professional playwright will enrich students' learning. They will also attend a Broadway show, Something Rotten.
