College Now @ Kingsborough Community College

The Brooklyn Science Innovation Initiative

Attention High School Juniors; Are you interested in becoming a science innovator and/or prospective entrepreneur? Join us at Kingsborough Community College to take an introductory Earth Science course that is paired with an entrepreneurship experience. Receive college science credit for an experience unlike anything you have had before. Some program highlights are:
  • Introductory Earth Science course, EPS 3800 (4 credits, 6 hours) in the morning.
  • In the afternoons, you will work with an instructor on developing a simulated entrepreneurship business workshop experience.
  • These two components will complement each other. The science concepts will give you hands-on experience.
  • And you will work as a team to develop a business product which will be showcased at an end-of-semester event.

Monday through Thursday
9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Up to 4 college credits upon successful completion.

Metrocards and lunch vouchers provided.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a New York City public high school student, entering 12th grade in September 2017
  • Students are required to have a high school GPA that demonstrates the ability to succeed in an EPS3800 course
