College Now @ Medgar Evers College

Environmental Science Program

Do you ever think about how climate change, industrial waste and even wildlife may impact the health of people living in New York City? If so, come to Medgar Evers this summer and study environmental health issues in your community.  At the Medgar Evers College Now Environmental Science Program you will take a choice of college credit Basic Chemistry or Environmental Health Issues in the morning and in the afternoon you will participate in data analysis/problem solving workshops, go on field trips, conduct supervised laboratory and field research and hear presentations from science professional and faculty.
July 6th to August 6th, 2015
Monday through Thursday
9:00 AM - 3:15 PM
Three college credits upon successful completion.

Metrocards and lunch vouchers provided

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a New York City public high school student, entering 11th or 12th grade in September 2015
  • Have a minimum score of 75 on the English Regents exam, 50 on the PSAT Critical Reading, or 500 on the SAT Critical Reading, AND a minimum score of 75 on the Math Regents exam, 50 on the PSAT Math, or 500 on the SAT Math
